1. About these Terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to your use of the Algologic Africa website and, where relevant, to your enquiries, registrations and participation in learning services provided by Algologic Africa LTD (“Algologic Africa”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

By using this website, you agree to use it in accordance with these Terms and applicable law. Additional terms may apply to a particular programme, cohort, organisational engagement or service. Where additional terms are provided, they form part of the agreement relating to that service.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or restrict any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Nigerian law, including applicable consumer protection law.

2. Using this website

You may use this website to learn about Algologic Africa, explore Schools and programmes, read Algologic Insights, contact us and submit programme or organisational enquiries.

You must not use the website unlawfully, interfere with its operation, attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems or data, introduce malicious code, scrape or reproduce substantial parts of the website without permission, impersonate another person, or use the website in a way that infringes another person’s rights.

3. Programme information

We aim to describe programmes clearly and accurately. Programme pages may include information about learning outcomes, curriculum, delivery format, duration, tools, prerequisites, projects, assessments, cohort timing and related matters.

Programme content may be updated to reflect changes in professional practice, software, certification objectives, teaching methods, regulatory requirements or learner needs. Where a material change affects a confirmed cohort, we will communicate it appropriately.

A programme page is informational unless and until your place has been confirmed under the applicable registration process. An enquiry or expression of interest does not by itself create an enrolment contract or guarantee a place in a cohort.

4. Enquiries and expressions of interest

When you submit a programme enquiry, contact form or organisational enquiry, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

We may use the information to answer your questions, provide current programme information, understand your learning needs or discuss an organisational engagement. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Registration and participation

Participation in a programme may be subject to eligibility requirements, available places, prerequisites, payment of applicable fees and acceptance of programme-specific terms.

Learners are responsible for providing accurate registration information, maintaining access to any required devices, software or internet connection identified for the programme, and participating in a manner that does not disrupt the learning environment or interfere with other participants.

Where recordings are made available, access is intended for the registered learner or authorised participant unless we state otherwise.

6. Fees, cancellations and refunds

Programme fees, payment schedules, cancellation arrangements and any refund conditions will be communicated for the relevant programme or engagement before they become binding.

Any programme-specific cancellation or refund term will be applied subject to mandatory rights and remedies available under applicable Nigerian consumer protection law.

Where Algologic Africa cancels or materially reschedules a confirmed paid programme, the options available to affected learners will be communicated at that time in accordance with the applicable programme terms and law.

7. External certifications and examinations

Some Algologic Africa programmes may prepare learners for examinations, certifications or credentials administered by independent third-party organisations.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Algologic Africa does not issue those external certifications, control their examination rules, set their eligibility requirements or guarantee that a learner will pass an external examination.

Examination fees, certification fees, membership requirements, experience requirements and policies imposed by an external awarding body are governed by that organisation’s current terms. Learners should verify those requirements directly with the relevant awarding body.

References to third-party certification names or marks are for descriptive and educational purposes and do not by themselves imply sponsorship, accreditation, endorsement or partnership.

8. Learning materials and intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the website, original course materials, templates, graphics, text, programme structures, teaching resources and other original content produced by Algologic Africa are owned by or licensed to Algologic Africa and are protected by applicable intellectual property law, including the Copyright Act 2022.

Registered learners may use materials supplied to them for their own learning and professional development. This does not transfer ownership of the materials.

You must not reproduce, sell, publish, distribute, upload, commercially exploit, systematically share or create an unauthorised competing course from Algologic Africa materials without written permission, except to the extent permitted by law or expressly authorised by us.

Third-party materials remain subject to the rights and licences of their respective owners.

9. Work and content you submit

You retain ownership of original work you create and submit, subject to any rights belonging to third parties in datasets, software, source materials or other incorporated content.

Where you submit work for feedback, assessment or programme administration, you give Algologic Africa permission to access, review and process that work to provide the relevant learning service.

We will not present your work publicly as a learner project, testimonial or case study without an appropriate basis to do so. Where separate permission is required, we will ask for it.

10. Acceptable use and professional conduct

Learners and website users must act lawfully and professionally. Harassment, discrimination, threats, deliberate disruption, cheating, plagiarism, unauthorised access, misuse of credentials, sharing restricted materials, or use of programme activities for unlawful purposes may result in appropriate action.

Cybersecurity and technical programmes may involve tools or techniques that can be misused. They must be used only in environments where the learner has lawful authority and in accordance with programme instructions and applicable law.

11. Third-party tools and services

Programmes may use third-party software, cloud services, collaboration platforms, virtual machines, certification resources or other external tools.

Those services may be governed by their own terms, privacy policies, technical requirements and availability. Algologic Africa is not responsible for changes made independently by a third-party provider, although we will take reasonable steps to adapt learning activities where such changes materially affect a programme.

12. Website and service availability

We aim to keep the website and digital learning services available and reliable, but uninterrupted or error-free access cannot be guaranteed.

Access may occasionally be interrupted by maintenance, technical failure, internet or hosting problems, security measures, third-party services or events outside our reasonable control.

13. Educational information and accuracy

Algologic Insights and other educational content are provided for learning and general professional information. They are not a substitute for personalised legal, medical, financial, investment, tax or other regulated professional advice.

We aim to keep published information accurate and useful, but professional standards, software, regulations, certification requirements and market conditions can change. Readers should verify time-sensitive requirements with the relevant authoritative source.

14. Liability and statutory rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits any mandatory consumer right available under Nigerian law.

To the extent permitted by law, Algologic Africa is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising solely from reliance on general educational content, third-party service failures or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Learning outcomes also depend on factors outside our control, including learner participation, prior knowledge, practice, access to required tools and the requirements of employers or third-party certification bodies. We therefore do not promise employment, promotion, income, examination success or any specific professional outcome.

15. Suspension or termination

We may restrict or suspend access to website or programme services where reasonably necessary to protect learners, systems, intellectual property or other users, or where a participant materially breaches applicable terms or law.

Where appropriate, the circumstances, available remedy and any programme-specific consequences will be communicated to the affected person.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when our services, technology, business practices or legal obligations change.

The current version will be published on this page with its latest revision date. Material changes affecting an existing contractual relationship will be handled in accordance with the applicable agreement and law.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

If a dispute arises, we encourage you to contact us first so that the issue can be understood and, where possible, resolved promptly.

Nothing in these Terms prevents a consumer from using any complaint, regulatory or dispute-resolution mechanism available under applicable law, including rights administered under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018.
